Students investigate and describe numbers through the hundred thousand place using base-ten blocks, pictorials, and words, including standard form and expanded notation. Students investigate place value representations and its connection to dollar values using concrete models, pictorials, and words. Identify a real-life situation that involves five numbers though the hundred thousands place (e.g., population of five cities, land areas of five states, etc.).
Language: Students will differentiate between statements and questions using Powerpoint on statements and commands.
Science: It's a Matter of Safety, about uses of equipment and safety rules of that activity.
