I was born and raised in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High in 1997.
I attended Angelo State University from 1997-2002 and the University of North Texas from 2012-2013.
From Angelo State, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a Math minor and a Master of Arts in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.
From UNT, I earned School Librarian certification.
I am finishing my 9th year at Tatom/MWPISD and my 10th year living in Monahans!
I began teaching in 2002.
I taught 1st grade two years in Andrews ISD, one year of 2nd grade in Brownfield ISD, and one and a half years of 4th grade math in Lubbock ISD.
From 2007-2011, I homeschooled and tutored other people’s children.
During the 2011-2012 school year, I was a library clerk at 2 Lubbock middle schools and decided to enter a librarian certificaiton program.
From 2012-2015, I was an elementary librarian in Lubbock at Ramirez Elementary, a PK-5th grade campus, and in the summer of 2015, I moved to Monahans.
